Welcome to ADAM!
This online manual is designed to lead system administrators and users through the most common aspects of managing an ADAM database. This guide should also enable administrators to provide their users with competent user support.
The whole manual is also available as a single PDF, for offline reading or printing: download the ADAM Instruction Manual.

Suggesting Changes
This is a living document and will be added to and improved over time. If you have any suggestions or wish to assist in improving the documentation, please see our contributing guide — you do not need to be a programmer to help.
Copyright and Reuse
This manual is © 2026 ADAM EduTech and is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence. You are welcome to copy it, print it for your own school, and adapt it for your own training material, provided you credit ADAM EduTech, link back to help.adam.co.za, and share anything you build from it on the same terms.
What the licence does not allow is commercial use: selling copies, charging for access, or building the manual into a paid product or service, which includes using it to train or ground a chatbot or other machine-learning model. If you would like to do any of that, please write to help@adam.co.za — we are able to license the manual on other terms, and we would rather say yes to a question than find out afterwards.
